I'd like the quadratic formula as a vector that I can engrave for a project.  What's the best way to make this?

You can do it with latex.  Here's the equation...

$$\dfrac{-b\pm\sqrt{b^{2}-4ac}}{2a}$$

This is what it looks like after rendering.  

You can install a latex program or just use a website like http://www.codecogs.com/latex/eqneditor.php and save it as an svg.
