I'd like the quadratic formula as a vector that I can engrave for a project.  What's the best way to make this?

You can do it with latex.  Here's the equation...

$$\dfrac{-b\pm\sqrt{b^{2}-4ac}}{2a}$$

This is what it looks like after rendering.

You can install a latex program or just use a website like http://www.codecogs.com/latex/eqneditor.php and save it as an svg.

Here's a link to the svg. http://latex.codecogs.com/svg.download?%5Clarge%20%24%24%5Cdfrac%7B-b%5Cpm%5Csqrt%7Bb%5E%7B2%7D-4ac%7D%7D%7B2a%7D%24%24
